Jan von Holleben
Jan von Holleben was born in
1977 in Cologne, and grew up in the southern German countryside. His passion for
photography was instilled by his father, a cinematographer. He then continued
to follow in his father’s footsteps from the moment he picked up a camera at
the age of 13. His photographic imagination and creativity when it comes to his
pictures set him apart from the rest. After getting a career in teaching
children with disabilities, he moved to London, where he earned a degree in the
Theory and History of Photography at the Surrey Institute of Art and Design. He
continues to create art and tell stories through his photography using the
people in his neighbourhood.
