Friday Photos

Friday Photos

Friday Photo #1- Black And White Photography

This is my first Friday Photo: black and white photography. I chose this photo from the Internet because:
- This is a picture of New York. I went to New York for the first time when I was little and it is one of my favourite places to go. I think one of the main reasons I chose this is because next summer, I may be going to New York, and I am really excited.
- I really liked how the buildings are reflected on the water, and how the lights really shine. I also like the positioning of the bridge running across the top of the picture.

Friday Photo #2- Find Something Blue

This is my second Friday photo. The topic was Find Something Blue. I took a picture of this lock because I liked the shade of blue. There were a lot of different choices so picking one object to photograph out of the numerous blue objects was hard, but I liked the locker, so I chose that to photograph.

Friday Photo #3- Find Words on a Building

This is my third Friday photo. Even though the theme is Words on a Building, I took a picture of this sign, talking about a group of townhouses, or a complex. Although the theme was talking about words physically being on the side of a building, I interpreted this as words on a building, or in other words, words about a building. Since this sign is talking about the buildings, I am using this as my Friday photo.

Friday Photo #4- A Light In The Darkness

This is my fourth Friday photo, A light in the darkness. I took this picture at home with my dad's Nikon D7000. I liked how the candles give the photo a warm glow and light up the surroundings.

Friday Photo #5- Minimize the Horizon

This is my 5th Friday Photo- minimize the horizon. These are both photos that I took at Stanley Park in Vancouver. I used my dad's Nikon D700. I really liked the colour of the sky.

Friday Photo #6- Sink Back Into Bed

This is my seventh Friday Photo- Sink Back Into Bed and Notice the Creases in the Sheets. I took this photo with my dad's Nikon D700. I had originally used flash to get the brightness, but the blankets were causing dark shadows that I didn't really like, so I turned off the flash and kept lowering the aperture until the brightness was right.

Friday Photo #7- Seek Out A Repetitive Pattern

This is my seventh Friday Photo, Seek Out A Repetitive Pattern. I really liked how the logs were all pretty much the same width and length.

Friday Photo #8- Find Yourself On A Shiny Metal Surface

This is my eighth Friday Photo- Find Yourself on a Shiny Metal Surface. I went out into the school parking lot and found a back truck that wasn't too dirty.

Friday Photo #9- Go Somewhere You Have Never Been Before

This is my ninth Friday Photo- Go Somewhere You Have Never Been Before. I must mention that I didn't go inside the boys bathroom. I simply stood outside and took a picture. The door was already propped open.

Friday Photo #10- Divide Something Into Three Equal Sections

This is my tenth Friday Photo- Divide Something Into Three Equal Parts. Although I did not physically create these three equal parts, I believe that this picture fits the theme.

Friday Photo #11- Creep In Close

This is my eleventh Friday Photo- Creep In Close. I zoomed in on a tree in the back of the school.

Friday Photo #12- Shoes That Tell A Story

I got these shoes 7 christmases ago for a special occasion. My best friend had bought me ticket to go see a play, and I had nothing fancy to wear so I bought these, along with a fancy dress. The play was awesome and I had a great time, but I never really wore them again.

Friday Photo #13- Winter Wonderland

I was going to take the theme and interpret it differently on account of the lack of snow. However, it decided to snow that very day, so I went out on to the field and took a picture of this leaf that I found in the snow.
